Public order

The Police take a dim view of those causing a public disturbance, particularly at night time and by those under the influence of alcohol. Be aware that, if the police find you drunk in the street, you may be taken to a drying out clinic (ul. Kolska 2/4, tel.  (+48) 22 887 20 65) and you will have to pay for the cost of your stay. You will not be released until you have sobered up and this may mean an overnight stay.

Both Police and Town Guards (Straż Miejska) are responsible for public order:

The police are obliged to provide a sworn interpreter/ translator.
