Cadbury - strong partner in times of crisis (17/09/2009)
On 10 September 2009, our Deputy Head of Mission – Paul Fox - attended the official opening of Cadbury’s modernised and expanded factory in Bielany Wrocławskie. This project is part of Cadbury’s wider investment programme in Poland.
Cadbury is one of the largest foreign investors in Poland. The company has recently invested €200 million in Dolny Śląsk. The investment in Bielany Wrocławskie has doubled the factory in size and created an additional 200 jobs. The company is also building another factory in Skarbimierz and has recently upgraded its facility in Warsaw.
The British Embassy has a close working relationship with Cadbury, built up in recent years. Paul Fox’s presence at this event is just the latest example of this continuing cooperation. In the past two years Cadbury have also been one of our exclusive sponsors of the Queen’s Birthday Party held at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador.
