The British Embassy works closely with the Polish government and Polish organisations to deliver the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s four policy goals:

• counter-terrorism, weapons proliferation and their causes 
• preventing and resolving conflict
• promoting a low carbon, high growth, global economy 
• developing effective international institutions, above all the UN and EU.

In addition, the Embassy contributes to delivery of the rest of the British Government’s policy priorities overseas, in areas including:

• human rights
• science and innovation
• promoting diversity
• development
• justice and home affairs

The British Embassy also provides three essential services:

• supporting the British economy abroad, by providing support to UK companies wishing to do business in Poland
• supporting British nationals abroad, by delivering high-quality consular services to British nationals in Poland, in normal times and crises; and
• supporting managed migration for the UK, by providing a visa service to third country nationals wishing to visit the UK
