Our staff

In the past few years, some Polish colleagues have been awarded the MBE for their long and loyal service to the Queen.

Colleagues who have been awarded the MBE

The British Embassy in Poland has just over 100 staff.  At present 28 are British and 75 Polish.  In addition, the British Council offices in Warsaw and Cracow have over 110 staff.

All the Polish staff in the Embassy speak English, many to a very high level.  A number of the British staff speak Polish - and practice with their Polish colleagues. British staff tend to spend 3-4 years working in the Embassy in Warsaw.  Polish staff often spend longer. There is a wide variety of staff in age and experience. Some are new to the Embassy; some have been with the Embassy for many years.  In the past few years, some Polish colleagues have been awarded the MBE for their long and loyal service to the Queen.

Some staff have degrees in history, Japanese, archaeology, landscape architecture and law. This combination of skills, experience and background gives the Embassy the ability to deal with a wide range of subjects in an efficient, imaginative and professional way.
