How to apply for a position at the Embassy

Full details of vacancies is posted on the Embassy website.

All applicants must have a high level of spoken and written English and usually, although not always, fluency in Polish.  Exact qualifications and skills for each vacancy will be listed in the advert on the Embassy website.

All applications for vacancies (CVs and covering letters) should be written in English and sent to the HR Manager, ul. Kawalerii 12, 00-468 Warsaw or by e-mail to info@britishembassy.pl. We do not process or respond to unsolicited CVs.

We will contact only those applicants who will be invited to interview. We are unable to contact unsuccessful applicants.

Applicants invited for interview can expect a short (usually hand written) test appropriate to the vacancy before being interviewed by a panel of 2–3 people.  The interview panel is usually made up of the HR Manager, the Line Manager of and/or the Head of the Section where the vacancy occurs and one other member of Embassy staff.

Applicants may be required to attend a second interview with the Deputy Head of Mission.

All those interviewed will be informed of the outcome of the interview.  Wherever possible we will give feedback to unsuccessful applicants.

Successful applicants will be required to report to the Embassy before their start date to complete administrative procedures and security checks.

Please be aware that there are limited opportunities for promotion or progression within the Embassy, however established staff may apply for other vacancies within the Embassy if they have agreement from their Line manager.

Internships

We do not have an internship programme.
