‘Impact Assessment for Poland of the EU ETS Directive’ is another long-term project funded by Strategic Programme Fund Low Carbon High Growth .

The purpose of the project is to prepare a report on how the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) Directive can be incorporated into Polish legislation and government policy papers.

The project is implemented by demosEUROPA – Centre for European Strategy, who facilitates exchange of best practice between the UK Government’s Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC)  and the Polish Office of the Committee for European Integration. This includes DECC sharing the methodology used by the UK government when carrying out their impact assessment of the EU ETS.

The Impact Assessment is due to be published by the end of October 2009.
