UK-Polish cooperation in combating organised crime and illegal migration
One of the UK priorities is to protect its territory from the influence of international organised crime and in particular to combat illegal migration (including exploitation of people by forced labour and human trafficking), cigarette and drug smuggling and growing internet crime.
The United Kingdom supports all efforts made by the Polish side in order to protect the border and to fight international organised crime, by participating in joint projects, training and operational activities.
The work is carried out at different levels, from official high level visits to exchanges and joint training for police officers from Poland and the UK. There are also projects involving representatives of Polish and British “Third Sector”.
