Science and Innovation
The UK undertakes world-class science. With just 1% of the world’s population the UK receives over 12% of all citations to published papers. But the UK realises that science is an international endeavour and to be successful UK scientists need to collaborate with the best in the world. The UK has therefore created the UK Science and Innovation Network. In Europe, SIN responds to emerging science and policy priorities and aims to facilitate new partnerships. We catalyse the early stages for new collaboration.
What we do?
- Increase scientific collaboration - UK with other European countries.
- Strengthen the UK’s innovation capacity - R&D partnerships and technology transfer.
- Organise exchanges on science-related policy and best practice.
- Use science and innovation to influence international approaches to key global policy challenges such as climate change or stem cells.
How we can work with you?
-
Workshops - Bringing together leading experts from Europe and the UK to present their research and identify areas for collaboration.

- Policy issues - organise meetings between leading experts and report key policy developments to the UK Government and science stakeholders.
Why work with us?
