UK and Poland in the EU
The Embassy EU/Economic team works closely on a wide range of issues with Polish Ministers and officials, and with representatives of business, the media, think tanks, universities and NGOs.
We work to understand Polish EU interests and positions, to make the UK case, and – together – to shape EU policy making. In this way, the EU/Economic team supports one of the UK Government's international priorities: to promote an EU that delivers for its citizens in response to global challenges.
The team works on a wide range of issues, EU budget reform to the Working Time Directive, and from the EU Emissions Trading Scheme to the Common Agricultural Policy. We organise regular visits and exchanges for UK and Polish Ministers and senior officials to discuss specific issues.
